I live in rural Upstate NY, near Albany. My education is in fine art (Drawing and Printmaking) and after college I worked as a public school teacher for a few years before I began making jewelry full time. Plants & water are my favorite subjects. To represent water, I use various methods of producing texture in metal. Patterns are hammered, enameled, matte finished, heat textured. I'm excited about my new series of water cast pieces. My botanical pieces are created from the plant itself- from a mold or impression of the leaf, or a casting of the organic object. I make one original piece in metal, then to make multiples I have castings made for me by a local caster. I create the finish and patina on each piece by hand. I can create most pieces in gold upon request.
